I managed to attend, as did a near full house of interested people.
The meeting went for the full 2 hours that was allocated at the venue and then spilled over into the front room for at least another 30 minutes. No sausage rolls though, so I had a long lunch.
Plough and Benton were there as well (along with others who said that they read hc, particularly around announcements) and we were able to individually promote our questions during and after the meeting with board members. (Who said infrastructure is boring).
For my part, I recognized that there is a genuine passion within the company for what has emerged from the years of involvement that has led to the development of the company to this point. Apart from a number of things, there were some very clear indications re exciting developments:
(1) A US institutional investor is in the offing (hence the number of the most recent US presentations), therefore no cr is probable,
(2) A dual listing is planned for the near future,
(3) EdenCrete HC will replace the original EdenCrete, (without the need for extensive testing due the fact that the chemistry is identical and that it is but an increase in concentration, cost effectiveness and likely increased sales and profitability,
(4) There is the intention to add to the existing board by appointing a US based member of the board in the near future, which will add something of an X factor (I think) and
(5) Once the longevity factor (supported by the general results but largely by the abrasion test results in particular) along with the improved cost effectiveness afforded by the higher concentrate version kicks in with customers, then sales will almost exponentially rise accordingly.
For me, these were stand-out takeaways from the agm, at this point anyway (other points might come out as I gather my thoughts on reflection). There was much more discussed involving patents, marketing, specification of the product by name and the potential significance of Canada as another market under consideration.
I am sure that Plough and Benton will post their observations and we may have read things differently, however I am personally very happy to hold and buy as I can.
DYOR is very important and GLTAH.
