I have made comment very early in the piece that they could have more likely to succeed in tapping into Shareholder's discontent by removing two of the directors with greatest dissatisfaction and installing two independent directors and went on platform of board renewal and change. They would have more likely to succeed. They only needed to oust and install two new directors to indirectly obtain board control.
Instead MTR went for the clean sweep.. so my comment stands MTR board spill action was too ambitious, poorly executed and ill-conceived.
