Have thought about this as well but I'm not sure it matters. In real world situations patients will be treated daily to remove the risk of MRSA while in hospital (and perhaps asked to continue self treatment while they recover at home). I don't think the goal is to eradicate staff completely and forever. Just long enough so the patient doesn't infect themselves. I think the more critical assessment will be proof that MRSA does not develop resistance over longer periods of time. This is the true value of the drug
