It wasn't discussed but there is the slightest hint CVV may try to become miners if they can swing a deal with an off take partner that gets them over the first significant hurdle of finance. There are anecdotal comments that South America and Africa may be heading into the higher risk category for some Japanese "mining houses". If Australia/WA can maintain a stable sovereign risk Caravel could attract interest from those shying away from the more traditional copper provinces. Long mine life, clean product will help a decision in CVV's favour.
Highly speculative idea that could be intriguing, if extremely challenging. ====== Mt William: Alcoa have rights to the bauxite in the ground above the magnetic anomaly. Any Ni/Cu/PGEs will be well below the bauxite layer which would represent waste to an open pit though any bauxite could be pre stripped and stockpiled if not already mined by Alcoa. Sequencing of bauxite mining/exploration, rehab, would be among some of the more practical issues to be considered.
A quick look at Geoview show there are other pending claims in the Alcoa special lease. Not many, but probably adds to the need for some resolution coming sooner rather than later.
With a magnetic base. Mt W is quite prominent. Doesn't mean there will definitely be economic mineralisation in it though.
