What I struggle with is understanding how taking shares in lieu of $$ in a largely-dud company is beneficial.
I guess if you get the shares for free it is a bonus, but in lieu of real money?
An asset sale could cause a flow-on to shareholders, but there are billions of shares allotted already, so any return is seriously diluted.
What is the future advantage?
