So firstly a disclaimer ... these comments are from my notes and not directly from a presentation deck .... so I think I've captured everything accurately, but it's not verbatim. Also, I've tried to edit this down to things that I think may be of interest to holders on this forum based on previous dialogue.
My overall feeling was upbeat from executives and employees in the room.
A list of key points I scribbled down.
ConneQt Pulse
- the trial production run of 200 units from Andon were received yesterday, said Lawrence with a big smile on his face.
- the FDA clearance vs acceptance was cleared up by Craig. We are seeking FDA clearance via 510K. As such, NO clinical trial is required for FDA submission. We have validated the Pulse, however Andon are responsible for obtaining the FDA clearance, and while they are close we are still awaiting their final submission.
- the launch is Q2, 2022 ( calendar year ).
- we have already secured components, including chips, for the first production run ... and any delay in launch while regrettable is helping avoid any component delays post the first production run.
Mobvoi
- it was on a wrist of an employee !
- pictures we are seeing of the face on presentations/twitter etc of the device are actual shots, but notice the right side of the watch is not shown. This is because this would give away the sensors being used, and this is considered highly confidential.
- the watch is in the hands of key influencers and marketing companies n the USA, but under embargo.
- Craig is equally frustrated by Mobvoi launch delays along with the rest of us.
- However, 68% of smart health watches are sold in January, as people start on a health campaign in the new year.
- Our launch campaign for Mobvoi smartwatch is entitled " Healthy Heart to the New Year " ... " play on healthy start ! "
ConneQt Band
- Very much targetting the Health Tech/Medical side of things with this device.
- Look to us partnering with a Big Pharma , potentially one that we currently deal with on the Atcor Clincinal Trials side of the business, on the ConneQt band.
- Such a partnership this would extend to obtaining FDA clearance, GTM and global roll-out.
- Displayed a picture of latest iteration of the band in the presentation. Talked at length about the side sensor, which enables cuffless blood pressure readings from a non pressure sensor. You place your finger on the side sensor to get the reading. This is a world first and covered by our patents.
- Submission to FDA Q2 next calendar year, launch Q4 next calendar year.
We had a brief discussion around partners such as ButcherShop and LifeQ, but the partner I hadn't heard about was "Real Chemistry".
Real Chemistry is playing the role of our " Activation Partner".
They are a health focused GTM provider, with clients such as Bayer and Astra Zenca.
We are working with them on launching our products in 2022.
Other bits and pieces.
The resolution to increase pool of funds available for director payments was to facilitate additions to the executive team in the US.
We now have 43 staff, of which over 1/2 are in technical and engineering roles as we ramp up taking products to market.
