Fair call, but a massive fire on the Poipet strip is a big deal and hardly a positive. This will impact visitation to Poipet for at least a few days at a minimum. Maaaybe longer term it helps Star Vegas and other operators as it knocks out gaming capacity, but I feel dirty saying that....
If this article is correct, it looks like Vietnam will not be placing any conditions of entry on Chinese arrivals and is confident in its herd immunity. Looks like Aristo is going to be up and running again from Jan 8 and might make a decent contribution to the second half. Aristo will hopefully get a nice bounce from pent up demand from its pre covid regulars in the neighbouring province.
