Another thing to consider are the charging times.

As EV cars have shorter ranges, they have to be charged more frequently than Refilling a Diesel.
This means more charging stations and longer traffic ques to these.
So not only does a person have to wait from 15 mins to a few hours to charge their cars, they will likly be stuck in jams waiting for a station.

Also from what i have heard a lot of charging stations in californium are out of order, some are vandalized or batteries shot.
.
Of course if you charge from home you wont have to wait, just have a larger electricity bill.
