Now, it'd be very informative if a vote breakdown could be done so we can see who voted for the status quo. Were brokers and their nominee companies involved for example?

In my humble opinion at least two nominee company have voted their clients shares FOR the resolutions. I will bet those clients don't know that and I bet those clients don't get an agenda sent to them either.
