An “anomaly” in the most mineralised granite in the country is not some random number plucked from your derrière, Chris, it’s the whole data set (including all those other bullcrap samples that you previously took to maintain the tenements), it’s actually a mathematically defined point on the distribution - your choice, Chris - spherical distribution, normal distribution, Poisson distribution? Oh, and don’t forget to normalise for geology, or did the Boy Scouts that collected the samples not complete their geology badge, so descriptions are missing?
Naah, that’s beyond you lot. Tell ya what, let’s go for the ol’ two standard deviations and see what happens?
