Yes true enough.
So if you applied for many more rights then sold @.028 -024 you hold the opps @001 (.025-.024 ) If your position is high in cost you may have averaged down to a more controllable level and still be able to take some funds of the table and retain your oppy's costing .051 at redemption.
The ave cash position for the options sold is only $1500 or so not a big risk in my view so I would be more inclined to retain them. However horses for courses.
