I really thought the Board of TGR would have been one that fought for Australian production but no, everyone has their price, unfortunately.
I have been holding for nearly ten years over which time the share price progress has been slow. All the hard work has been put in place and I expected good returns to come. Instead, the work of Australians will produce good returns for the Canadians. Such is life.
I also hold PTB which has suffered the same fate. A Board only too willing to hand the company over to Americans.
Another holding I have that is disappointing is AQZ, of whihc the Board has accepted an unrealistic offer from Qantas. The ACCC is our last hope to save AQZ from being swallowed up.
Don't they say that a rush of takeovers is a sign of an impending recession?
