Honestly, that is nonsense. Anyone would imagine from those comments that this lithium industry is at the end of its life cycle. It's of course the opposite! It's inconceivable to anyone who genuinely understands the global character of the disruption that is happening in both electric vehicles and stationary storage, that assets that are ready to start production will not be attractive to various players.
I'm not saying I know what will eventuate, but I will be amazed if the existing parties don't seek to rapidly move to ownership of this rare gem. The outlook for lithium is underwritten by demand and the patently obvious lack of new supply. I anticipate MIN doing what is necessary to quickly put this asset beyond the reach of TLEA so they "own the rock" which Chris Ellison has stated numerous times as his judgement of success.
