Interesting to see where lithium ends up in the battery mix - a lot of noise recently about solid state batteries that don't seem to use much lithium from what I can tell (Toyota and Panasonic in JV saying commercial production of their solid state vehicle and truck batteries by late 24/25) - vandium based storge just starting to be rolled out as an option for large scale storage etc.

ESS is my last lithium stock having sold out last week - I have taken some good profits from lithium but have now moved to other "battery" / green resources which to me represent less of a risk.

Lihium as an energy storage medium has a number of negatives including fire danger and a relatively low charging cycle life compared to the alternatives being developed or currently being commercialised.

I could be totally wrong re lithium - I'm not suggesting it will disappear as a battery material completely just that with the number of mines being developed, and some of the inherent negatives for uses such as large scale storage / EVs compared to other options being commercialised it could mean the future is not as rosey as some suggest.
