As i said before the board are old & tired of it all, and want out, with all the benefits that ordinary retail long term shareholders do not get. Whats it called - the Directors Golden Handshake...with the perhaps the possibility of future consulting work in the pipeline to aide the transition...So another couple or two years part time work for them. etc etc.
I feel the boards interests are not at all aligned with those of ordinary retail shareholders.!! If the board had any teeth, they would have held out for a much higher offer and realized their conflicted status and done the right thing and resigned and made it their mission to find a capable replacement board members and management that are younger and full of energy & want to have a go... Let the suitors go hostile if they want.
Paul Keating once said along the lines .... In any horse race, it always best to back the horse called "Self Interest".
