    You’d think directors would be restricted from trading the security at this point, and for several reasons.
    One major factor is that we're approaching full-year reporting.

    I work in finance for an ASX Top 50 company, and even I’m currently restricted from trading shares, despite not being a director, as we’re about to close off the financial year.

    This black out window goes through internal reporting and, ultimately, external disclosure via the annual report.
    Only after the market gets a hand of the financials which is still a few months away, that's when the black out is then taken away and even then if I decide to buy or sell shares I still need to fill out a form and get clearance internally and state Im not acting on any market sensitive news that hasn't yet been disclosed.

    But maybe the org I work for is more strict and has better corporate governance measures!
