I don’t think it was a blackout period, but that’s not the point.
This was a major revision of plans for the company, and I think it’s reasonable to suspect that he knew how the “bad news” was stacking up.
I doubt asic will do any investigating.
I recall a while back hearing about a CFO whistleblower who reported significant wrongdoing by his company, and the “watchdog” simply stated that there wasn’t sufficient evidence to investgate further, DESPITE them not even viewing the significant evidence that this bloke had in his possession!!!! Let that sink in. They didn’t even bother to take the first decent step and see what he could prove.
It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so damn ridiculous. The worst part is that they simply rinse-repeat elsewhere and make millions upon millions upon millions.
