Yes, the CR timing was imperfectly perfect. The dilution post current and incoming falls would really hit a lot of us hard. Re copper prices, I haven't done the numbers post yesty falls (5% AUD and ~6% for LME copper) but on surface the price difference so far isn't that bad, yet.
Being devils advocate about the SP and production numbers - I think regardless if production numbers are healthy we're going to see SP falls (agreeing with your statement).
In July 2024 I anticipated DJI falls to ~37400, now sitting very close to that prediction. I think there's merit in the charts and they did show this was coming. The beginning of March I saw the same but again was too invested to exit most of my positions which had already started falling and was caught with my pants down. C'est La Vie, retrospect is a bitch.
Re hedging, do you know if HGO has fixed offtake agreements? IE, the product is already sold at the hedged price regardless of production numbers? I'm thinking there will be a period of reduced demand globally for commodities.
