I appreciate the thoughts for certain but I don’t follow the same logic regarding high rise living persons “wealthy persons” not being able to charge their EVs. By that time “personal” EVs will be driving themselves to a bulk charging location away from the “home” (let’s call them “carparking stations” in otherwise industrial areas, or just in traditional parking stations fitted with charging infrastructure).

When those “wealthy people” living in high rise want their car to take them somewhere, they just ask Jeeves to bring the carriage around front and away they go (or preprogram it, or have it know their personal calendarised schedule and Jeeves plus carriage arrive in time for the pickup). Similarly at the destination, no need to find a carpark, car lets you off at the front door and then moves off to a carparking station for more charging while you do your shopping, work, business meeting, lunch, movie watching or bobbing about on another
    “wealthy person’s” yacht.

My point being if we continue to consider personal transport will operate in the same way it has for the last 40 or so years (my car in my garage and I drive it to a service station where I spend time holding a hose to fill it and then drive to where I want to go but can’t find a park so go earlier to get a park …. yes in that world maybe some people will struggle finding charging points at home. But consider further what other changes are coming along with the “fuel” source for that transport. (And this ignoring why all persons would then need to “own” a car anyway).
