The recent Origin Energy Scheme (which was not approved) is interesting:

• 68.92% of the votes cast by Origin shareholders in favour of the Scheme (Target >75%); and
• 77.83% of Origin shareholders present and voting at the meeting in favour of the Scheme (Target >50%).

The Scheme was rejected on votes cast (led by opposition from AusSuper).

Of the 122,057 Origin shareholders (see AGM Aug23), only 35,340 (~29%) actually voted (For=27505 or 77.83% and Against=7835) and comfortably passing the Target >50%).
