The lack of passenger flights across the Tasman (thanks to the mad Marxist Ardern who will fail, like 'Mad Mark' McGowan in WA, to keep 'the virus out') means airline freighter aircraft are full and there's no spare capacity in the holds/bellies of passenger aircraft.
I assume this is a key reason for mail delays.
