For those of you who don’t know whether to subscribe to the offer because you don’t have the cash available please do as I have done. Sell 1/6 of your shares (today’s price 2.40) and buy the same amount back through the offer at 1.85. That’s a gain today of 55c per share. If you don’t take up your entitlement in full it will be snapped up at 1.85 by the hedge funds that have large short positions in Appen. If retail takes up their full entitlements there will be a huge short squeeze, last reported shortman positions over 9%, the second biggest on the ASX. The price should increase further as a result. This is not financial advice just a suggestion for a little revenge on those that have pummelled Appen’s share price.
