I see Telstra has announced the same thing as One NZ did this morning, offering customers accessability via the Star Link Satellites. Infratil ahead of the curve again, Telstra due to commence operations later this calendar year with One NZ to follow in 2024.

I must admit I was concerned with the FortySouth TowerCo transaction as I have always seen satellites as a threat to the current telco market, but looking at it now it's more an opportunity for greater sericeability, especially in rural or areas that suffers from terrain effect.

Does anyone know what the bandwidth is on a satellite vs telco towers here on the ground? Or even just some general opinions/info on what they see as opportunities or potential threats to One NZ going forward?

IT is not my strong point.

    Cheers,
