A very worthwhile discussion, but one that won't be resolved quickly.. but will take time to slowly balance the scales.

In a perfect world, you would reset all management and directors and have everyone reapply for their roles ... unfortunately this is far from a perfect world, so the most likely way this 'reset' will happen is through the retirement of the male dominated generations who currently dominate senior management and director ranks.

I feel a large portion of society is willing on a quicker re-balance, which is why we see boards and companies putting into their hiring policies a ratio .. because the correct solution of having everyone reapply for their role based on merit is a little too much for the majority of society to handle.
