Interesting comments, although I find it hard to believe that they would issue this fantasy ann with the intention of then retracting and creating havoc. (bit too movie style plot for me)
Looks to me more like they were getting desperate and it seemed like a good idea at the time. One thing is certain, you cannot issue an advice like this by mistake. It is quite a contrived piece of writing and I just think they were caught out by how transparent the whole ann was and probably had many responses which pointed out the obvious.
(I posted yesterday detailing their recent anns which plainly showed this came out of the blue with no substance - 31782595 )
