SP pre-consolidation 22.5c = $4.50 post-consol.
Special divi 2.72c = 54.4c equivalent post-consol.
SP opened today at $3.73 (or 18.7c pre-consol).
The amount to be received from the special divi (~12%) has been immediately wiped from the share price and then some. SP is down from consolidation by about 16% so far.
This is how the smoke and mirrors go. Remember this for next time someone tries to kid you that the divi or cap return won’t immediately discount into the share price.
