Yes, that will work for your online view in your account.
However at tax time I submit my Buy and Sell Commsec Confirmation Notes to my Accountant. They will have the original Buy price so I attach a copy of the Capital Return Announcement with them and ask him to adjust my CGT calculation accordingly.
If you are doing it yourself, just do the calculation at the adjusted rate and keep the paperwork in case you ever get a knock at the door from the ATO so it's easy to show how your worked out your gain.
That's how I do it anyway.
