As I understand it, the refiner makes a charge for his work. The C1 costs should make an allowance for this. However the allowance may differ from the actual cost which may not be known until the work is done. All depends on the contract. Correct me if I am wrong here people.

Some of the ore is suitable for Dore production through the CIL plant. Some is more suitable for concentrate production. Waste from the concentrate production is put through the CIL plant to improve total recovery. Processed tailings are kept separate from the gold rich tailings which were stored before the CIL plant was commissioned. Again correct me if I am wrong.

They have the plant and make best use of it (we hope).
