Remaining objective and not getting emotional would be a good start.

Emeritus Professor Ian Plimer has written 3 good books on the topic (start with "Heaven and earth; global warming the missing science / Ian; Plimer, Ian R. ; Dewey Number 363.73874). There are enough research papers referenced in this book to keep you busy for a while. Or search up Dr David Evans / Joanne Nova's website or saltbush club website for more references.

I could go through the science with you but I doubt you would be interested. 100% of scientists I know don't believe that the anthropogenic co2 is a significant driver of climate change. However, science is not about a poll. Scientific theories are not proven. All you can do is form a hypothesis which becomes established as a theory if it is able to predict outcomes. To date alarmist climate scientists have been unable to make accurate predictions therefore their various hypothesis are disproven.

Calculations from the geologic record suggest 21,000 years ago the ocean was 130 metres lower than it is today. 3 million years prior to this the ocean was 70 metres higher than today. Both short times relative to the geologic age of the Earth. The point being that climate and sea levels are like a yoyo before humans were pumping out masses of carbon dioxide (agreed by the IPCC to be about 3% of the natural system annually). Water vapour is a far more effective greenhouse gas and ranges between 1wt% and 5wt% of the atmosphere annually. Climate alarmists believe it is a feedback from co2 and do not account for changes in incident radiation levels over time or seafloor spreading which releases heat from the radioactive core of the planet (and would influence atmospheric water vapour levels)

All the above is irrelevant as the outlook for nuclear power is rosy (if we don't have a disaster in a water reactor before they role out the new generation of SMR's) and hopefully BOE's shareprice starts the run I have been waiting for.
