For the umpteenth time, why do we keep reporting firming/battery/storage capacity in MW (a measure of power)? The capacity of such facilities is measured in MWh (a measure of energy.) It is NOT the same as MW.
A power generator of 1MW capacity can deliver 1MWh of energy every hour for as long as it is operating - that is the equivalent of delivering 24MWh per day of continuous operation.
1 MWh of firming/battery/storage capacity can deliver 1 MWh of enery for only 1 hr before it needs to be recharged by an enery source or generator.
