Batteries, or other storage options cannot replace an energy generation plant. if a generation asset if retired it must be replaced by decreasing energy use or by another generation plant. the installation of large scale energy storage is cart before the horse stuff, it's no use if you have nothing to store. i am a renewable supporter but a realistic option is needed to replace generation and batteries are not it!
