In regards to Hanson, Holcim and Boral winning large projects, is this for all states or just NSW?
As far as I know, ABC is the most competitive in SA and NSW.
SA - Birkenhead and Angaston assets. The acquisition of DMC / Southern Quarries and Penrice Quarry further strengthens their moat in SA. Overall, they are #1 in cement and #2 in aggregate and premix concrete here.
NSW - Largely because of Austen quarry and the 2015 closure of Penrith Lakes (Boral, Hanson and Holcim JV).
For VIC and QLD, not so much.
VIC - They are a net buyer of aggregate in VIC so I don't think they will be competitive here anytime soon.
QLD - Getting into oversupply territory because of Southern Cross Cement terminal, a 0.2mtpa terminal. That is around 10% of the QLD cement market. Plus,
