Job description




The Chief Financial Officer Role
As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the Group CEO and assume a strategic financial role within the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Define and implement the financial strategy and reporting for the Anteo Group
• Proactively manage cash flows in a leveraged environment, managing capital raising, grant applications and expenditure allocations
• Lead the Investor Relations Activities of the Group, including statutory disclosures, ASX and ASIC relationships and analyst relationships
• Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Company Secretary
• Effectively lead the finance / accounting team by hiring and retaining top-grade talent.
• Manage and oversee the administrative, IT and payroll functions in the Australian operations in conjunction with the GSO and COO DIAsource
• Develop and implement a risk management policy
• Drive effective internal and external communication interactions
• Lead financial aspects of potential M&A activity
• Lead and motivate staff and facilitate communication between employees and functions and manage performance and resolve disputes or disagreements that may arise

The Successful Applicant
This appointment requires someone who is CA/CPA qualified and has proven commercial experience in a similar role with at least 10 years experience. Ideally you will have worked within the high technology/science early stage commercialisation sector and have ASX listed company experience. You will possess strong organisational and time management skills and have a flexible and practical approach with a 'can do' attitude and strong customer focus. Your ability to communicate and work with people at all levels, and drive process improvements will be also be critical to your success. Leadership skills will also be very important as you lead and develop finance team over time.
