I managed to read the article about the acquisition on AFR. Apparently there's a few UK based companies that are interested in gbst such as Broadbridge which was one of the companies speculated on the article.
one of the fund manager called Spheria fund management is one of the substantial holders in GBST holding 14% interest even was quoted as saying 3 dollars is a good offer for the company. Sounds like may have been a missed opportunity for gbst?? The fund manager went on to comment that combined bvs and gbt company will derive synergies from the acquisition.
