2021 is a long time ago, and inflation has certainly changed the capital costings, and the operational costs with them.
I think Alkane will eventually do the open pits, even if they are delayed for years. Approvals are in place, and gold is priced much higher than their 2021 assumptions. Assuming they can reach 1.5m tonnes of the higher grade ore from the underground, how long before they could fund the highway diversion and open pits from cashflow, rather than debt?
