Adimadis, my guess is that at least a reasonable proportion of the traded shares were as a result of day-trader buy/sell transactions, potentially many times for each trader. These traded shares would need to be be deducted from your 7% of total shares figure for accuracy, but I agree with your thinking otherwise.
