Sad but I tend to agree with you. Sad because not so long ago TG was saying that "we're going mining" and that he was looking forward to dividends. Whilst it's true that they are already mining (of sorts), his utterances were pretty much confirmation, to me at least, that he wanted to go the whole way. Sad also because if it goes through then we, as shareholders, will no longer have anything to do with the company we have supported for so long. It will be in American hands with profits moving offshore as is often the case with this country.
One thing that does surprise me is that the share price doesn't match the offer. I'd like to hear people's thought on why that may be the case as is was when the previous offer was made public.
