People are getting a bit overwrought. The board is allowing ALB to do confidential DD, that does not mean they have accepted an offer or recommended an offer, it just means ALB can see the books. Maybe it entices more offers, maybe it helps ALB make a higher offer, because lets face it ALB is not paying over $4 Billion USD for a company without doing detailed DD on confidential info. Time to relax and enjoy the ride, all good from here.
