Was wondering what if ALB analysed the companies books knowing full well they won’t go ahead with the offer. They announce they won’t go ahead to the market This in turn could cause the market to tank as this makes the market think that there are hiccups that it doesn't see behind closed doors(lots more funding required). This factor paired with the heavy shorting and market manipulation would drive the price down. The shorters and large institutions then make a boatload of money as the price falls .
Could be a load of crap very new to trading
