Either Fomo or a leaky ship, who knows but the trader/investor themselves.

Leaky ships are common in many ways, some are helpful and create opportunities and others are out of personal gain.

There are patterns where a stock will jump 10-20% before an announcement. Once the information is out it effects the SP. I remember trading in another company where I had to report a person on HotCopper that spread a document that was confidential and let’s just say the information was in fact and indeed real to the results two days later. So it does happen.
