Exactly right, until proper accrual accounts are done, everyone is speculating on what the true profit or loss position is.
At the moment there is a cash outflow. That will be a combination of working capital investment (ok) and trading losses (bad).
At steady state the funds used to fund working capital will trend to zero, it is up to the management to stem any trading losses and it seems to me they have a plan to do that.
