You obviously don't realise that the biggest manganese ore mines in the world are in South Africa. South 32 and Tshipi to name just two.
No need to own and operate the mine, just buy a shipload of manganese ore and ship to a factory in Asia, process the manganese ore into EV battery material, or take it a step further and produce the batteries. Using cheap labour and more importantly cheap power.
Better than doing it in the middle of WA in the desert.
