and a few other observations / experiences recently:
- Top 20 keep accumulating, one new member recently with 15 million shares
- Top 20 longer term holdings (sufferring like many normal AAU holders) includes a number of Small Cap / Micro Cap Fund Managers and also at least one Director of another ASX listed Mining company, plus a great human in the field of Community Health Care.
- Trying to get filled for a small ~$1000 BUY at the very top of the queue (not 2nd, not 3rd, actually 1st in line on the buy side) took over 3 days of trading, so not all is as it seems regards volumes relfecting unrelated buyers and sellers IMO
- We're still seeing ongoing 1 nett SELL difference during close match out to encourage a down or flat day
- Today AAUO got traded into the SELL side, agreed only $2k, but AAUO at 50% of the cost of the heads instead ?, is at least interesting to go for that leverage with an expiry date versus just the straight AAU instead at 0.004 without any expiry timeframe.
IMO there's a bit going on here to suggest that people are trying to get set and fly under the radar
I'll quietly be hoping people get to the end of the year and do a bit of portfolio housekeeping to decide to dump their holdings, because my plan continues to be sit (patiently / stubbornly) in the buy side and allow the down ticking sellers to have to sell to me, rather than me buy from them at mid-point price levels, but I don't think that's a plan with too much more time left on the clock tbh.
It's just what I see and have experienced of late, so some of it is a little subjective, but I do know what I know and have researched what I've researched, research that's gone a few levels deeper than just reading Company Announcements.
So it's fair to say, I'm watching in ways that others probably aren't even thinking about, and I'm more than happy to call BS on the negative sentiment for negative sentiment's sake alone.
I feel (again IMO) it's about WHEN not IF the trigger gets pulled here on AAU.
