I met Dr Ruane today, at the ERL AGM. We spoke briefly about RWD. He seems positive about the new tech as well as the Beyondie acquisition. Unlike a lot of people in the industry, Ruane struck me as a low-key visionary who is not short on integrity; RWD is his life work come true & if anyone can do it, he will. The ERL team I met today seemed to be imbued with a steely determination to get things done (without squandering a lot of money). I expect Ruane has the same setup at RWD. I'm confident we are in good hands. The fact that Ruane dips into his own pocket regularly to buy shares on-market should be evidence of his self-belief & committment.
