I don't know if they could bring forward the air ambulance service even if they wanted to. Sounds like a contractual arrangement.

And about releasing flights, they might want to still keep some as a support to the regional communities. Even if they are loss making. I imagine there are also flights to mines, etc.. Which might be more stable since you have to be there physically for the work to get done.

It is a pity that such a well managed company is getting hammered by this unforseen health crisis. But that's business I guess. If they do make it through this crisis, I imagine they would be in a strong position. They have one of the stronger balance sheets of regional airlines and they are building alternate profit sources from pilot training.
