Also amazing that REX shares have not dropped further with its Boeing 737-800 'new' planes inoperable.
For a small company like REX this is a heavy cost.
The SYD lockdown and similar recent occurrences in Victoria and South Australia must be really sapping consumer confidence in air travel, as is the willingness of other State Premiers (three Labor ones are worst) in shutting off their states to various other parts of the nation. So it's likely that passenger loadings on REX turboprops to rural Australian destinations are down, especially in NSW and Victoria.
