Here's an interesting but long article on Puritan (USA) & Copan (Italy) the main manufacturers of traditional swabs.

It shows the enormous lengths the US Government went to once they realised they had an undersupply issue of swabs in 2020.

A lot of the article is about the feud between the two cousins who control Puritan, but its still interesting.

To a certain extent it reinforces MJ's point about having a sovereign capacity to meet demand.

In more recent times the US in particular has started spending big on Rapid Antigen Tests. So it was interesting to see the 4C mention the possibility of US based manufacturing as well to increase production capacity.

Whilst there is a lot of competition there is still plenty of opportunity for RNO. As others have mentioned, hopefully news on the Junior trials isn't too far away.
