This US administration is looking for corrupted funding allocation that doesn't support the US economy from prospering so in what way does Ioneer's project contradict their agenda? There's no reason this administration would have to try take them to court to retract the loan agreement and it's a LOAN not a hand out, which I might add will employee Americans in construction and operations. Trump has never said anything about stopping lithium based energy products and has openly stated he's openeing up fossil fuel options for the US. Now everyone starts running around like little girls claiming he's trying to wipeout alternative energy options that are not fossil fuels which is completely false information. Opening energy options up from ANY source to compete for energy dominance is a brillant approach that will produce innovation and competition from green energy to fossil fuels. Australia will fall behind the rest of the world if we persist with this one hammer approach for green energy only policies.
