Nothing to do with my biases or filters DP - i'm just thinking out loud as to what might be the cause of a phenomenon that actually, really, factually and historically exists and that is the fact that stocks usually trade lower after a consolidation.
I know it doesn't appear to make sense to you, but it is real and if my suggestions don't cut the mustard for you, then you have a go - but denying it on the basis of logic only works when you take everything into account. Preserving market cap is simplistic and, ultimately, wrong.
