Sorry about the delay in my answer. The Rights Issue has been extended for another week. Prior to this announcement I took up all my Rights and applied for the same amount again via the oversubscription mechanism! I have to admit it wasn't alot of "hard-earned" - so it hasn't hurt me to support the company. Half the register is now in the hands of the new guy's who brought the Tanzanian properties - so if they all support the issue, then approx $500k would come in! If a few of the original AVK shareholders supported the Rights Issue also - then it all might work out quite nicely for the company. If they manage to sell the Argentine assets too - this would bring in an additional $200k. Worth a punt - I reckon! (particularly with the shares trading at a premium at the moment!
